Following a selection camp that was held in Edmonton, Alberta this past weekend, Ringette Canada is pleased to announce the next phase of Senior National Team athletes that have been invited to progress to our final selection camp in July 2022.
“We are very excited that we are one step closer to having our senior national team come together,” said Frances Losier, Ringette Canada’s High Performance Director. “After getting through the many hurdles that we have faced over the past two seasons, it’s great to see our top athletes come together in preparation for the upcoming World Championship. If the passion, dedication and skill we’ve seen this past weekend are any indication, I know we will see success at the international level.”
The Senior National Team Training Roster is a group of athletes that will be invited to participate in training camps to continue their development and support the preparation process of the Playing Roster. It is from this group that Ringette Canada will select the final Senior National Team to represent Canada at the 2022 World Ringette Championships taking place in Espoo, Finland from October 31 to November 6, 2022. The following athletes have been selected to progress to Ringette Canada’s Senior National Team Training Roster:

Lorrie Horne (Sherwood Park, AB) leads the senior national team as head coach, along with assistant coaches, Chris Belan (Calgary, AB), Julie Blanchette (Montreal, QC), Heather Konkin (Edmonton, AB), Jacinda Rolph (Parkland County, AB). Connie Klassen (Victoria, BC) is the team’s athletic therapist and Jen Falloon is the team manager.
The final roster will be announced following the final selection camp which will take place, July 29-31 in Dartmouth, NS. Once that group has been named, the senior athletes will continue to train over the course of our 3 remaining training camps, which will be held in conjunction with our Junior National Team. The next camp is set to take place in Edmonton from June 24-26, 2022.
