DEAR DEIDRE: FINDING out my sister had been calling my boyfriend for regular chats made me jump to the wrong conclusion.
I’m 23 and my sister is 22. My boyfriend is 25.

I confronted them both and demanded to know what was going on.
Instead of having an affair, it turns out they were arranging a surprise birthday party for me.
Of course I was mortified and apologised but now I’ve made the situation worse by getting drunk and trying to wind up my boyfriend saying I’d had a one-night stand with his male cousin.
