LIVE: Belgium Faces Morocco Seeking Place in World Cup Last 16
Belgium knows it’s through with a second straight victory, while Morocco is looking to stifle another one of the 2018 World Cup’s top finishers. Follow along here.
Belgium wasn’t overly impressive in its first match at the World Cup—its players and coaching staff fessed up to that—but it still has a great opportunity to get to six points through two games at the World Cup and secure its place in the knockout stage.
The Red Devils take on a Morocco side that held Croatia to a scoreless draw in their opener but will enter Sunday’s matchup at Al Thumama Stadium in Doha as an underdog against another one of the 2018 World Cup’s top-three finishers. Stifling Belgium’s attack is a challenge for any opponent, especially when the Red Devils know that they’ll be in the last 16 with a victory and can ensure their place before facing Croatia themselves.
