I am sick with stress over wife’s demands to move to her expensive dream home
DEAR DEIDRE: MY wife is desperate to move back near her parents so she can have some help with our children, five, three and one.
But where they live is so expensive, we couldn’t afford a three-bedroom house like we have now.
But she refuses to downsize and insists we can stretch ourselves.
I’m the only one bringing in a salary. I’m 30 and she is 29.
I work as a delivery driver and already do long shifts and overtime.
I’m so stressed, I’m hardly sleeping and can’t think straight.

Deidre says: It’s time to sit your wife down and explain how sick and stressed you are.
Tell her you how much the pressure is affecting you.
This is the most demanding time and it’s understandable she’d like more help – could her parents visit one day a week?
Many young dads feel pressure to provide for their families – don’t bottle this up – be honest about how you feel.
