My daughter loves vodka more than her child and the damage it’s doing is so upsetting
DEAR DEIDRE: MY daughter loves vodka more than her child and the damage it’s doing is so upsetting.
She forgets to pick her up from school, so my granddaughter has to walk for an hour to get home.
The cupboards are often bare so I take food to them.
My daughter is 44 and my granddaughter is 12. I’m 69.
I don’t want to lose my granddaughter but it’s getting to the point where I don’t think she should be at home with her mum any more.
My daughter has lost three jobs recently because of her drinking. What can I do to help?
