‘Increase in tax slabs welcome, but rising price of fuel & LPG a concern’
The Ludhiana Singh family of Rahon Road gave a thumbs up to the Union Budget 2023 because of the increase in income tax slabs and also with TVs and automobiles getting cheaper. However, the family is a little upset because there was no change in duty on petrol and diesel. A chemistry lecturer from Rahon Road stated that middle class families expect the government to increase income tax slabs in every budget, but one important thing that the government has ignored is the price of petrol and diesel fuel prices affects each and every middle class family and people were expecting the government to give some relief. In this budget, the government has shown interest in promoting electric vehicles and therefore taxes have been reduced on it. The Ludhiana Singh family's son is 17 and daughter 14 and both need gadgets to study.
