AFC expands new competition agenda with OFC hook-up
February 3 – The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) have signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a view to exploring future competitions for national teams.
The agreement was signed on the fringes of the AFC Congress between AFC president Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa (pictured right) and OFC president Lambert Maltock (pictured left).
“This Memorandum of Understanding symbolises the long-standing partnership between the AFC and the OFC and reinforces our commitment to unlock the opportunities to further expand the growth of the game in this passionate Asia-Pacific region,” said Shaik Salman.
