The musical selections in 'Wondrous Journeys' focus on the movie blockbusters that defined the key eras of Disney animation.
While “Wondrous Journeys” promises highlights from every Disney animated movie ever made, the new Disneyland fireworks show focuses on the music from 15 classic films that defined the key eras of the legendary Hollywood animation studio.
The new “Wondrous Journeys” fireworks show anchors the Disney100 celebration at the Disneyland resort that includes a new dark ride and nighttime water show.

Walt Disney Animation Studios has gone through creative peaks and valleys during the 100-year history of Disney animation being celebrated at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
“Wondrous Journeys” offers glimpses of all 62 Disney animated films — including the latest flop “Strange World” and the upcoming November release “Wish.”
Naturally, every Disney movie can’t play a starring role as “Wondrous” races through 18 songs in 13 minutes.

Musically, “Wondrous” focuses on the movie blockbusters that defined the key eras of Disney animation.
“Wondrous” highlights four films from Disney’s Golden and Silver Ages stretching from 1937 to 1959: “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Pinocchio,” “Peter Pan” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
The heart of the musical lineup draws from the Disney Renaissance Era from 1989 to 1999 when the Disney animation studio had a string of popular hits: “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Lion King,” “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” “Hercules” and “Mulan.”
Music from Disney’s Revival Era includes tunes from “Princess and the Frog,” “Big Hero 6” and “Moana” as well as the studio’s two biggest recent hits — but they aren’t the songs you’d expect from “Frozen” and “Encanto.”

As you might expect, “Wondrous Journeys” also has an infectious new theme song aptly called “It’s Wondrous” with an oh-oh-oh chorus that’s easy to hum along to.
The new fireworks show skips over music from the 1960s through the 1980s when the animation studio struggled without the guiding hand of founder Walt Disney. The show also musically ignores the 2000s when Pixar was ascendant and the Disney studio was searching for its footing in the CGI era.

The new “Wondrous Journeys” nighttime spectacular will be presented without fireworks on select nights – typically on weeknights.
