I picked up my son from nursery & when I got him changed I was raging at the note I found – it was totally out of line
IT’S natural for parents to feel protective other their children, and one mum was left raging after finding a note penned on her son.
Taking to Facebook, the mum-of-two was stunned when she discovered that nursery workers had used a marker to write a message to her, on her son’s stomach.
She tried to remove the marker pen but it wouldn’t budge[/caption]Heather Chisum went to change Milo’s nappy after a long day at work when she spotted the message, leaving her blood boiling.
The incident happened back in 2020, and she took to Facebook asking if she was overreacting or justified to be angry.
The mum wrote: “So… I need opinions. Am I right to be furious about this? Or am I overreacting?
“I really need your opinions guys, because I’m about to barge in this daycare tomorrow morning and have some words.
“Every day, when I pick Fin and Milo up from daycare they put a daily report paper in Milo’s lunch box.
“It says what mood he was in for the day, what times they changed his diapers, and if he needs diapers or wipes.
“I guess yesterday they wrote on his report that he needs diapers, and I failed to see that.”
The busy mum then explained how she is a single mum-of-two with a full-time job so ‘SUE ME FOR NOT READING THE REPORT EVERY SINGLE DAY.’
Clearly, the nursery workers wanted to get the mum’s attention as they wrote on Milo’s stomach ‘Mom I’m out of diapers pls read my report.’
She added: “Now keep in mind, I see several teachers at drop-off and several at pick-up.
“If I failed to see that he needs diapers a simple, ‘Hey Heather, your son needs diapers maybe you missed the report’ would have done the trick from any of the many teachers there I see daily.”
Shockingly, Heather revealed this wasn’t the first time Milo had his stomach written on.
“The best part???? THIS ISN’T THE FIRST TIME,” she wrote.
“They’ve done this several months ago too.”
n an update to the original post, Heather addressed the negative comments she had received, writing: “For all of these mothers coming after me and saying I’m negligent, I’m human and I missed a report. ONE.
“I missed the report and this woman’s next course of action was to write across my entire son’s torso.
“Like I said, this was the next course of action OVER a phone call, verbal warning, text, or email. And the first time this happened, SAME STORY. I have extra packs of diapers in my closet for crying out loud.”
