I’m a master gardener – mega cheap way to transform your outside space costs just 60p each at B&M
A MASTER gardener has revealed how you can transform your outside space with a 60p bargain from B&M.
Chris Pooley took to TikTok to share his gardening hacks, including a budget item that can add a touch of class to your home.
He recommended using solar-powered lights rather than plug-in ones to cut down on energy bills.
The garden lamps can be planted in your lawn and used to line pathways, adding a pleasant atmosphere to your garden for an affordable price.
B&M sells a pack of fifteen for just £10, reduced from £16, which works out at about 60p per lamp.
The product description says: “Light up your garden with these stylish Solar-Powered Black Post Lights.
“These solar-powered post lights are perfect for lighting up patios, pathways, borders and driveways, switching on at dusk automatically, creating a gorgeous light show in your garden.”
Chris’ other tips included using old lollipop sticks or coffee stirrers instead of purpose-bought planting rods for veg, saving rainwater and even using old cardboard toilet roll inners as planters.
He also suggested buying tools second-hand, making your own compost and always looking in the reduced section at your local garden centre.
Social media commenters praised his handy tips.
One wrote: “These are great.
“I’m going to start collecting [lollipop] sticks. I don’t know why I never thought of that before.”
It comes after a gardening expert shared another 60p item, with this one helping to banish squirrels from your land.
Meanwhile, an insurance pro warned of an invasive plant that “consumes” home and can cost thousands to fix.
