If New Year's Eve revelers at Mar-a-Lago appeared hot and bothered when headliner Vanilla Ice was tag-teaming onstage with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, former President Donald Trump kept it cool.
The 45th president rang in 2024 to a concert at his Palm Beach social club playing host to partiers who were dancing and selfie-ing away to the rapper's perennial track "Ice Ice Baby".
But Trump and his entourage in the back in tuxedos could be seen barely moving.
"I always wondered if he just sang his one song over and over," wrote Meidas Touch editor-in-chief Ron Filipkowski posted on Twitter/X. "I’m pretty sure he does. I don’t think Trump is watching Mr. Ice."
Vanilla Ice, whose real name is Rob Van Winkle, has performed at Mar-a-Lago in the past.
He performed back in 2021 along with members of The Beach Boys, when attendees like Don Jr., his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, Eric Trump, and his wife, Lara, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Rudolph Giuliani, and Mike Lindell, all whooped it up as COVID was raging and drawing some criticism for being a super-spread for failing to abide by some of the pandemic's safety guidelines.
Trump‘s impact on the world of music predates his term in the White House. A Washington Post analysis from 2019 found his name has appeared in more than 300 rap lyrics over the past 30 years.
