Iconic Emmerdale couple split after humiliating public clash
AN iconic Emmerdale couple looks to have split after tonight’s emotional episode.
The ITV soap’s fan favourites Paddy Kirk and Mandy Dingle hit the rocks tonight after the vet humiliated his girlfriend at a vet function.
Paddy and Mandy appear to be over after his cruel outburst in tonight’s Emmerdale[/caption]The couple attended a vet industry event tonight with Mandy pulling out all the stops in a Liz Hurley-inspired dress.
However Paddy was cowed by rival Jules who kept insulting him – only stopping to ask where his “stunner” wife Chas was.
In a shock move Paddy said she was at home, and claimed Mandy was just a friend.
Mandy was gutted but promised not to punch Jules while Paddy nipped to the loo.
But as Jules kept taking shots at Mandy, his PA Ella – played by Emmerdale newcomer Paula Lane – stepped in.
She confronted him about his sly remarks, exposing him as a “winging scrotum she has to call a boss”.
And then she poured a pint over him, leaving the rest of the guests in hysterics – including Mandy.
But as Paddy walked back in he assumed Mandy had covered Jules in his drink and he lost it.
“What have you done?” he shouted at Mandy.
“Can I not leave you alone for two minutes? I don’t want to hear it. Do you always have to kick off like an old washer woman?”
Mandy ran off in tears as Dawn put Paddy straight and he rushed after her, determined to apologise.
But it was too late for a devastated Mandy.
She told him: “You listen to me for once. Do you have any idea how much this dress cost me? £100 for one lousy night just to do you proud.
“Do you have any idea how small I felt there? And how hard I had to try to not deck that pillock but I did it for you.
“I acted like this proper lady but we know I’m not. I even lied about who I was and it wasn’t enough.
