I threw out my engagement ring – I took my fiancé with me to design a new one that was more perfect than I imagined
EVERY woman dreams of the perfect engagement ring from the perfect partner.
However, one bride-to-be’s dream turned into a nightmare after she realized she had accidentally thrown her diamond into the trash.

In her video, Brynley Joyner (@brynley.joyner) explained how she discarded her engagement ring and realized her mistake much too late.
Giving some background, the TikToker revealed that her fiance Lukas had saved up for a ring for months as neither of them was earning a high salary at the time.
After being happily engaged for some time, Brynley got into the habit of removing her ring for workouts and her modeling work with a photographer friend.
“I was a model for him for a jewelry brand he was shooting for,” she explained.
Before their shoot on a beach, Brynley had to remove her engagement ring, which she placed on the center console of her car.
She then began unpacking all the jewelry she needed to wear for the shoot.
“There was so much trash all over my car, you know when jewelry comes in little plastic bags or cardboard boxes with the earrings poked in, that’s what it was like in my car everywhere,” she said.
After she finished the shoot, Brynley decided to clean up her car, cramming all the loose trash.
“Honestly, I did not even think about my ring,” she told her followers.
It wasn’t until weeks later that Brynley got around to properly searching for her ring.
However, after giving her car a deep clean she realized that she must’ve accidentally thrown it away the day of the photo shoot.
While she expressed regret that she wouldn’t be able to pass the ring down to her future children as a family heirloom, Brynley was delighted at the chance to design her own replacement ring.
In a second video, she took her viewers along to the jewelry store Brilliant Earth as she and Lukas picked out her new ring.
“First, I started with getting correctly sized, and then I browsed all the unique options they had in the showroom,” Brynely said.

She commended the professionalism of the team as she tried various combinations of bands, gemstones, and settings.
“It felt like [playing] dress up but with rings, I was actually freaking out at how beautiful everything was,” she said.
In her final clip, Brynley filmed herself unboxing her new engagement ring.
While she was initially “too stunned to speak” as she tried on the new ring, she talked her audience through the design.
“I wanted a timeless elegant look but I wanted to add a unique twist to it so I did a secret halo underneath with a gold band and an oval,” she explained.

The bride-to-be gave her followers a close-up look at her new engagement ring.
“It turned out so much more perfect than I ever imagined,” Brynley said.
Her followers shared their thoughts on the whole situation in the comments section of her videos.
“I am obsessed!! It looks so good on your hand!” wrote one impressed viewer.
“I lost my engagement ring in the sand at the beach a year after getting engaged. Somehow, after searching for two hours, I found it buried in the sand,” said another TikTok user.
“You’re so chill about this, I’d never recover,” commented a third person.
