I spent £100 on two abandoned suitcases at auction – I found so many used pants inside, but I know I’m going to cash in
A WOMAN who spent £100 on two abandoned suitcases at auction will luckily cash in with her gamble.
Danielle is no stranger to buying things sight unseen, and decided to spend £106 on two cases.
While the first case was a bust, this second one looked much more successful[/caption]While the first one was a total bust – with the actual Samsonite case the only real thing of any value – the second was much more successful.
After putting on some gloves to protect herself from the “used pants” and “used toothbrush” inside, she started going through the contents.
“Starting off, we have some Air Maxes,” she began her TikTok video.
“They’re a bit small. There are men’s UK 8, but pretty decent condition.”
She then took out a pair of Dsquared2 shorts, as she added: “This case is so much better already!”
As so many people accuse her of lying about the prices of things, she included screenshots of examples of how much they’ve sold for, with the shorts going for around £45 a pair.
Danielle went on to find a further two pairs of Dsquared2 shorts, as she wondered: “Did this person work for the brand or something?”
She then spotted some more denim, which turned out to be Dsquared2 jeans, followed by a Dsquared2 T-shirt.
“Okay, this is getting a bit silly now!” Danielle remarked.
“Was this guy like a brand ambassador or something?”
The first non Dsquared2 item was a Calvin Klein top, followed by a pair of Armani tracksuit bottoms that were “really well worn”.
“But with a wash, maybe I’ll just chuck them in the boot sale pile,” she said.
She also found some “pretty expensive” trousers from a brand she’d never heard of before”, but she added: “Combat style trousers seem to sell really well.”
Danielle then said she was going to show some “more highlights” from the case, including a Ralph Lauren T-shirt with Spain on the front.
There was a Philipp Plein T-shirt, which Danielle said was “tacky but fun”.
“I secretly love like the Monopoly and the dollar signs on it!” she added.
She found a Blauer jacket, which sells for around £55, but said she’d have to make it puffy again.
There were some adidas joggers, but they weren’t in Danielle’s size, as well as some Air Max shorts and another Dsquared2.
She concluded the haul with a two blankets, and showed that the case itself is actually around £45 online.
“The one time I went on a plane for holiday I binned all my underwear and socks (obviously clean) so I had a little bit more space to bring things home,” one person commented on the video.
To which Danielle replied: “I actually think this was all clean so might have been the start of their trip!”
“Philipp plein is a famous brand in Holland and very expensive,” another said.
“Imagine losing your luggage and watching some random lass on TikTok just sell all of it,” a third laughed.
While her husband collects Ralph Lauren, he’s also not Spanish so probably wouldnt’ wear this, but it’s got good resale potential[/caption] This padded coat looked expensive, but needed puffing back up[/caption] While this Philipp Plein T-shirt was one of the most expensive items in the case[/caption]
