Novato police arrest suspect in Goodwill theft
The man allegedly stole an estimated $5,000 in merchandise.
Novato police arrested a suspect in an alleged burglary at the Goodwill store on Seventh Street.
A store alarm system alerted police early Thursday morning, police Lt. Nick Frey said. Officers contacted the suspect nearby and determined that he stole an estimated $5,000 worth of merchandise, Frey said
Richard Aguilar, 40, of San Rafael was booked into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of burglary, grand theft, possessing burglary tools and loitering to commit a crime. His bail amount was set at $50,000, according to jail records.
