Ex-Trump aide calls trial 'worst-case scenario' for former boss's 'attention span'
The co-hosts of "The View" came out on stage to the Wham! song "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" as part of ridiculing Donald Trump, who reportedly fell asleep in court for a second day on Tuesday.
When the panel began to discuss the first day of the Trump trial jury selection, former White House communications director Alyssa Farah Griffin said that she's never witnessed Trump doze off in a meeting before — but it wouldn't shock her.
"I was a little fascinated by the falling asleep part of it because, in my personal experience, he's a very high-energy person. But Maggie Haberman is an impeccable reporter and others witnessed it," said Griffin on Tuesday.
"But he is easily distracted and when you're in these court hearings, it is procedure, it is motions. Like they go on for hours. Not a whole lot happened yesterday. And it's also a reminder ... "
Joy Behar interrupted to ask if anyone else in court fell asleep.

"But it does track because I would be in briefings with him on one particular topic, then he would just completely sideline it and take it a different direction. This is like the worst-case scenario for someone with his attention span but this is not a case that keeps him up at night. What worries him is, frankly, how his wife may respond to things that come out in testimony."
She also said that as a Republican something she finds frustrating is that her party "signed up to do this again."
"This is the whole campaign — courtrooms, occasionally traveling, not talking about issues voters care about and I think, like, I know how you feel about Nikki Haley but say with Nikki Haley, she would be crisscrossing the country two states a day in battlegrounds talking about what voters are worried about, and it's such a disservice that this is what we have," Griffin said.
