Man City’s Etihad expansion hits first-year construction landmark
April 19 – Manchester City’s stadium development has completed installation of the first steels as the project reaches the one-year anniversary of the club’s submission of the planning application for its £300 million expansion.
The project will increase capacity at the stadium to more than 60,000 during the 2025/26 season and add a new 3000-capacity fan zone, club shop, 400-bed hotel, and museum, with the aim of establishing Manchester City’s match-day experience as “one of the best in world sport”.
