It’s normal for these colors to develop as people age, but factors such as stress, genetics, vitamin deficiencies, and hair dyes may also contribute.
Studies have shown that a balanced diet and good hair care can help slow down the process of locks turning white.
However, nothing can prevent or reverse the process if it is caused by genetics or aging.
Juan Abi (@abienergy22) has garnered over 1 million followers on TikTok, where she shares natural health remedies.
She went viral on the app after revealing how black sesame seeds are used in Chinese Medicine.
She said graying around the crown, facial swelling, and ankle and lower back pain are caused by a lack of nutrients boosting kidney function.
Juan recommended blending one cup of raw black sesame seeds with one teaspoon of honey.
She said it can be stored in a jar with one teaspoon consumed daily.
Over 17,000 viewers liked the video and hundreds of people took to the comment section thanking her for sharing the advice.
“Where have you been all my life? I’m half gray from 25 and my brothers too,” one person said.
“I just turned 35 a couple of days ago and I’m seeing so many new gray hairs,” another wrote.
“Thank you, I am 35 and this past year I developed more grays than ever,” a third added.
Raw black sesame seeds cost $9.99 at Walmart.
According to the manufacturer, the “slightly bitter” seeds are rich in copper and have a “generous amount” of manganese, iron, calcium, magnesium, and zinc.
