The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 1st May) - They think it's all over...
Good Morning. It's Wednesday 1st May, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road...
They think it's all over...
Leeds must beat Southampton on Saturday and hope Huddersfield Town pull off a miracle at Portman Road, if Leeds are to get promoted automatically this season. The Tractor Boys eased past Coventry City 2-1 last night, courtesy of goals from Kiefer Moore and Cameron Burgess, and went three points ahead of the Whites, ahead of the season finale on Saturday. Leeds still have a superior goal difference, meaning if everything goes their way at the weekend, promotion is theirs!
As things stand, Leeds will face Baggies in Play off's
As things stand, Leeds will face West Brom in the Semi Final's of the play-offs later this month. The Baggies need a point at home against Preston to guarantee sixth place, and put a stop to Hull City's late charge for a play off place. Similarly, a win against the Lilywhites could see West Brom leapfrog Norwich City who must beat Birmingham City to stay fourth, and face a show down with Southampton.
Kiefer Moore made a massive difference
Leeds will by now be regretting their blatant disregard towards the loan system, made more prominent by Ipswich Town taking full advantage. The Tractor Boys bought four new players into their squad in January, including Kiefer Moore (7 goals) and Ali Al Hamadi (4 goals). Moore in particular has been instrumental for Kieran McKenna's side. His hold up play is exceptional, he's the best headerer in the Championship, and with a Whoscored rating of 7.31 (1st), has had a major impact for Ipswich Town.
