Foodies spotted the snacks in their local stores in recent days and have been raving about them on social media.
One shopper shared a photo of the doughnuts on the Newfoodsuk Facebook page.
They said: “Limited Edition Cherry Doughnuts spotted at Asda.”
Fellow sweet-toothed fans flocked to the comments eager to give them a go.
One tagged their pal and said: “Don’t know if you’ll remember but we had these a few years ago and they were amazing!”
“Omg they’re back and yes they were scrummy,” the friend replied.
A second posted: “Getting some tomorrow for work yum I love cherry!”
A third commented: “I need these immediately cherry is my favourite.”
A fourth wrote: “There’ll be definitely limited when I get them down my fat belly.”
While a fifth said: “Need to find these!!”
Shoppers can pick up a pack of five doughnuts for £1.15 or any two for £2.
The Sun has contacted the supermarket to see how long they’ll be around for and will update this story when we hear back.
OTHER NEW SNACKS
It’s not the only snack Asda has come out with recently.
The supermarket giant launched a new flavour to its croissant range.
The pistachio-flavoured croissants landed in shops today as customers can’t wait to get their hands on the “amazing” pastries.
They will be part of the freshly baked range, with a creamy pistachio filling and an ultra-buttery pastry.
ASDA shared the sweet news on their TikTok page, asking their own staff to try the new product.
It comes after M&S launched new pastry flavours based on popular desserts.
Shoppers raved “I need this in my life” after spotting the “unreal” products in store this week.
The popular M&S Yumnuts now come in a brand new cream-filled edition.
Meanwhile, a snacks giant reinvented two of its classic products with a nostalgic twist.
McVitie’s has announced the release of limited-edition Cake Bars and Iced Gems Candy Floss, which have hit supermarket shelves in recent weeks.
The brand-new Cake Bars are available in two tantalising and nostalgic flavours – Eton Mess and Lemon Meringue.
How to save on your supermarket shop
THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.
You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they’ve been reduced.
If the food is fresh, you’ll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.
Making a list should also save you money, as you’ll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.
Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.
This means ditching “finest” or “luxury” products and instead going for “own” or value” type of lines.
Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they’re misshapen or imperfect.
For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.
If you’re on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.
Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.
Meanwhile, an Asda super fan has shared her top tips on how you can slash your grocery bills by £100s every year.
Plus, Asda has made a big change in stores to help shoppers with the cost of living – and they’re delighted.
