Americade motorcycle rally returning to Lake George
Lake George is gearing up to be lined with motorcycles for Americade during the last week of May. The rally pulls motorcycle enthusiasts from New York State and beyond for four days of engine revving, self-guided rides through scenic landscapes, and more.
LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Lake George is gearing up to be lined with motorcycles for Americade during the last week of May. The rally pulls motorcycle enthusiasts from New York State and beyond for four days of engine revving, self-guided rides through scenic landscapes, and more.
Thousands of riders will take to the Adirondacks for the festival including boat cruises, picturesque rides, live music, and even a rodeo by the Painted Pony Rodeo of Lake Luzerne. Americade rented the arena for Thursday, May 30 at 5:30 p.m. including a barbecue before the show.
Riders can explore restaurants, attractions, and shops in the Village of Lake George. Fort William Henry will have lectures and seminars by Americade University so riders can become road scholars.
On Friday and Saturday at 4 p.m., the Lake George waterfront will kick off the Americade Block Party. The block party includes performances from local bands and new this year is a motorcycle stunt show. A full list of events and price of admission can be found on the Americade website.
Traffic in Lake George will be increased for the entirety of the event and the public should plan accordingly in case of delays. Drivers should keep an eye out for motorcycles while driving during the event.
