Girls lacrosse

Patterson Mill 18, Rising Sun 2: Sam Chittum scored five goals and assisted on two others to key the Huskies offense. Maddie Tunney backed her with three goals and two assists, while Rylie Madsen, Riley Crain and Addison Harmel all scored two goals. In net, Maddie Ruby made seven saves.

Bel Air 19, La Plata 9: Paige Feick netted five goals and assisted on two more to lead the Bobcats to the nonconference win. Riley Manzo finished with three goals and two assists, while Mia Jourdan had two goals and three assists. Sophia Harrison and Delaney Burrows each scored two goals. Faith Kregel made three saves in goal.

Gerstell 19, Indian Creek 1: On senior day, Ava Reed made three saves, then came out of the net to score a goal and assist on two others. Other seniors scoring during their final home game were Sam Skelly with two goals and Lexi Larson, Reilly Sullivan and Maddy Donovan scoring one each. Liv Sprinkle, stepped back on the field after missing most of this season injured and picked up a ground ball.

Boys lacrosse

Broadneck 18, Chesapeake 4: Tyler Stewart led all scorers with seven points, split between three goals and four assists. Tanner Boone had a team-high five goals and assisted on another. Tyler Hicks scored three goals and Blake Levicki had two goals and an assist. In the loss, the Cougars got goals from Nathan Wheeler, Chase Bivens, Jake Forman and Cade Shannon. Talan Behler handed out two assists. In goal, Hunter Cappe had 20 saves.

South River 20, Arundel 2: The Phipps family accounted for half the Seahawks’ goals — Trevor scored six and Gavin netted four. Jack Laye had three goals and Caden Travis scored two. Ethan Marcian and Ben Adams each had a goal and two assists.

Manchester Valley 11, Oakdale 10: Gabe Howard made eight big saves as the Mavericks edged out the Bears. In a balanced offensive attack, Conor Fique was one of four Mavericks to score two goals. He also handed out four assists. Grant Miller, Gavin Reid and Matt Foran all scored twice. Luca Brown had a goal and an assist and Ryan Clark also scored.

Glenelg 15, Westminster 11: In the loss for Westminster, Cam Webb scored four goals and Gavin Gifford had a goal and four assists. Jacob Speigle and Chase Webb each chipped in two goals with Speigle adding an assist. Connor McNamara made 12 saves in goal.

Softball

Hereford 8, Kenwood 3: Ellie Lysse went 4-for-4 with a home run and a double, driving in four runs to power the Bulls past the Blue Birds. Taylor Roberts added two RBIs to the win. In the circle, Lauren Clement struck out nine while giving up one run on eight hits in seven innings.

Havre de Grace 10, C. Milton Wright 9: Bayleigh Carstetter hit an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to give the Warriors a walk-off win. Carstetter also homered and finished the day with four RBIs. Sarah Weitzel had three hits and an RBI, while Dayley Veres had two hits and two RBIs.

Marriotts Ridge 16, Reservoir 5: The Mustangs (11-4) battled back from early mistakes and scored 12 runs over the fourth and fifth innings in the win. Jasmine Smith and Jasmin Kirkland each had four hits and two RBIs. Brynne Mellady had three hits, including a triple, and three RBIs. Gianna Peluso also had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs. For Reservoir (12-4, 11-3 Howard County) Abbie Frisvold had two hits, while Catherine Yourishin had an RBI double.

Mt. Hebron 26, Hammond 0: The Vikings (9-5) exploded for a season-high in runs in the dominant win. Mackenzie Brooks had a team-high four hits, driving in two runs. Danielle Green had two hits and two RBIs, while Kaelyn Cisna also had two RBIs. Mt. Hebron scored 21 runs over the first three innings to take control.

River Hill 17, Wilde Lake 0: The Hawks (9-7, 9-6 Howard County) won their fifth straight game. Annie Levine and Zoe Pachoca combined for a five-inning shutout, allowing just two hits and four total baserunners. Levine struck out six. At the plate, Kat Thompson had a team-high two hits, while Emily Zagnit had a double. For Wilde Lake (1-15, 1-14), Olivia Bixler had a double.

Long Reach 8, Centennial 7: The Lightning (9-6) outlasted the Eagles in extra innings. Janelle Wilson had two hits, including a double, and drove in the game-winning run with a sac fly in the eighth. Taylor Slonac also had two hits and an RBI for Long Reach. For Centennial (10-6), Maddie Reese had two hits and three RBIs.

Patterson Mill 9, Bohemia Manor 2: Savannah Reedy had a pair of hits and two RBIs, while Kenzie Knight went 3-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored to lead the Huskies. Ava Ward also finished with three hits. Amanda Redmiles threw a five-hit complete game, striking out seven.

Liberty 5, Century 2: Sophia Steele scattered seven hits over seven innings while striking out five to earn the win for the Lions. Offensively, Kaelin Ault homered and Evelyn Connor finished with three hits and an RBI. Allison Bald, Jessie Shafer and Nicole Cascio all drove in runs.

Francis Scott Key 10, South Carroll 0: Jasmine Kline threw a five-inning one-hitter with seven strikeouts. She helped her own cause with a home run and four RBIs. Lilly Reiter finished with two hits and two RBIs. The Eagles also got RBIs from Emma Taff, Madi Rill and Morgan Kenney.

Westminster 17, Winters Mill 4: Alyssa Ward had two hits and drove in four runs to lead a powerful Owls offense. Ryley Winebrunner and Katelyn Clark each finished with three hits and three RBIs. Leadoff hitter Gina Sullivan went 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Elena Castonguay also had three hits, in addition to picking up the win in the circle. Ava Rutkowski singled, doubled and drove in two runs.

Baseball

River Hill 12, Wilde Lake 2: The Hawks (12-5, 12-4 Howard County) had 14 hits in the lopsided win. Henry Zatkowski had four of those hits, including a double and a home run, finishing with three RBIs. Avi Fields also added three hits, including a double, and three RBIs in the win. Sam Antevil struck out six in four innings and earned the win on the mound.

Marriotts Ridge 11, Reservoir 4: The Mustangs (6-9) won their third game in a row. Sid Thomas led the offense with two hits and four RBIs. Jack Coughlin, Zack Vernick and Owen Snow each had two RBIs in the. win. Jonah Obitz hit a home run in the top of the first to start the scoring.

Pikesville 5, Randallstown 4: The Panthers were down 4-3 in the top of the seventh inning when Michael Payne singled, scoring two runs. Jack Millman struck out 12 batters on the day. The starting pitcher also surrendered three hits and four runs over 5 ⅔ innings.

Manchester Valley 11, Tuscarora 1: The Mavericks erupted for eight runs in the second inning and cruised to victory. Gene Magin threw a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts. Offensively, Brayden Becker went 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs. Nicholas LoPreato homered and got two RBIs. Colby Howdyshell also contributed two RBIs to the win.

Westminster 10, Winters Mill 5: The Owls scored five runs in the first inning and matched it in the second before cruising to the win. Brandon Barrett had a hit and three RBIs to lead the win. John DaVia drove in two runs.

Francis Scott Key 4, South Carroll 2: Ben Stevens struck out eight in three shutout innings, and Brian Koterba kept the Cavaliers’ bats quiet in four innings on the mound. Nate Hobbs and Mitchell Smith each drove in runs for the Eagles. Aiden LeFaivre had two hits, including a triple.

Broadneck 5, Chesapeake 1: Noah Forman (7-1) pitched the Bruins to the win, allowing one unearned run in a four-hitter with three strikeouts. Senior Devin McGowan led the Bruins with two hits, including a double. Nick Cicale, Cade Schuetter and Mike Swick (double) each drove in a run.

Aberdeen 6, Perryville 4: The Eagles took control with four runs in the fourth inning and held off the Panthers’ late rally. Sean Doron had two RBIs in the win. Tyler Kenney went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Trevor Zakowsky and I Walton also drove in runs. Kenney picked up the win on the mound, throwing 4 1/3 innings giving up three runs, all unearned.

Coed tennis

Fallston 6, Patterson Mill 5: The Cougars dominated on the boys side of the lineup to pick up the win over the Huskies. Tanner Boyd and Gordon Lefkowitz won second and third boys singles. Fallston also got a boys doubles sweep with Ryan Blair and Colby Resh, and Zach Boczar and Luca Cangelosi earning wins. Gwen Karantonis won third girls singles and the mixed doubles team of Camryn Barrett and Meghan Perez won in girls doubles.

Boys tennis

Marriotts Ridge 5, Reservoir 0: The Mustangs boys (12-0) closed out an undefeated regular season and the Howard County title. Mukundh Boopathi and Rafa Feldman each won in dominant fashion at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. The doubles pairings of Tyler Wang and Jerry He, Felipe Arantes Gabriel and Tobi Ijiyemi and Sam Lim and Sai Anuj Chodavarapu each won.

Atholton 4, Howard 1: Tristan Carter and Aryan Singh won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles for the Raiders. The doubles pairings of Jason Lilly and Declan Kikanzira and Nikhil Ramani and Sam Li each won their matches.

Liberty 5, Century 0: The Lions earned another sweep with Nikhil Andhavarapu and Louis Major winning singles matches. Arjun Mistry and Hayden Speace won first doubles, Austin Shade and Jason Murphy swept second doubles, and Chase King and Jayden Venable won third doubles.

Westminster 3, Winters Mill 2: The Owls won all three doubles matches to claim the victory. Wins came from the teams of Michael Fronheiser and Jarom Hawes, Aidan Cignatta and Abbott Houle, and Nishal Patel and Luke Schoberg. For Winters Mill, Micah Ober took first singles, 6-3, 6-0 and Logan Herwig won second singles in three sets.

Girls tennis

Marriotts Ridge 3, Reservoir 2: The Mustangs girls (10-2) closed the regular season with a win. Erika Kang won at No. 2 singles, while the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles pairings of Haeli Shah and Maria Ottman and Mahika Juneja and Sana Huda each won.

Atholton 3, Howard 2: Chelsea Sun and Angelina Gizdova each won their matches at No.1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. The doubles pairings of Imani Smith and Clara Kadingo and Michelle Kim and Katie Plasse each won.

Liberty 3, Century 2: A doubles sweep carried Liberty to the win. Grace Maerten and Payton Oakley won the No. 1 match, Mia Leonhartt and Mallory Stevenson swept the second match and Aubrey Anderson and Lilli Kashima closed with a 6-0, 6-1 win. Century got a 6-0, 6-0 win from Bella Filippi at first singles and Varshitha Mahadevani won in three sets at second singles.

Westminster 3, Winters Mill 2: Daphnee Whitmore’s 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles led the Owls’ win. They also picked up doubles wins from Sophie Long and Stella Schoberg, and Megan McCampbell and Kelsey Boehm. Winters Mill’s Sarah Gardner won second singles and the second doubles team of Maddie Milam and Angie Afanasenka won in three sets.
