Hot weather continues in Kerala: IMD issues yellow alert for 12 districts
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for 12 out of the 14 districts in Kerala, warning of high temperatures and humidity until May 6. The maximum temperatures are expected to be around 36-39 degrees Celsius in various districts. Hot and humid weather is expected over these districts, except in hilly areas. The state has been experiencing hot weather conditions for several days, leading to the closure of educational institutions. The government has advised people to avoid working under the sun from 11 am to 3 pm, stay hydrated, and avoid exposure to sunlight during these hours.
