BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A cyclist was struck by a school bus in Bensonhurst on Wednesday afternoon, according to the NYPD.
The incident occurred at around 1:33 p.m. at 21st Avenue and 84th Street, police said.
The 69-year-old hit an open car door and was ejected from his bike, officials said. He was then hit by a school bus traveling southbound on 21st Avenue, police said.
The cyclist was taken to NYU Langone, according to the FDNY.
The bus remained on the scene, police said. Investigations are ongoing.
