The Club will bid an emotional farewell to Paul Hanlon and Lewis Stevenson at the end of the season with both players going down as club legends.
As we celebrate their iconic Hibs careers, HQ caught up with the people who have played vital roles during their time at Easter Road.
For Hanlon, we went back to where it all started, catching up with his old coach Tam Smith at Hutchison Vale FC, alongside delving into his personal life speaking to his wife, Danielle. Jack Ross also gave an insight into what Paul was like as a player and leader.
Danielle Hanlon looked ahead to Hibs’ final home game of the season: “I think it’ll be emotional. Hibs has always been his home and a big part of our lives, so it’ll be a strange change.
“It will be emotional and if they play Sunshine on Leith, then I’ll cry, and if Paul cries, he will be in trouble because he didn’t cry on our wedding day or when the boys were born!
“It’ll be a special day; all our friends and family will be there to see him do it one last time.”
Lewis Stevenson took HQ magazine back to his roots in Fife and looked back at his iconic cup wins. Alongside this, Alan Stubbs explained why ‘Lewy’ is a manager’s dream, and Alex McLeish looked back at the defender’s Scotland cap.
“I have nothing but total respect for him. He is a special guy, that has played for a special club, and will always go down in the memory as someone who always gave his all for the cause,” said Alan Stubbs.
HQ also looked at the brilliant impact the pair have had on the local community through their charity work with the Hanlon Stevenson Foundation.
Joelle Murray will go down as the most decorated player in Hibs Women's history after making the decision to call time on her playing career at the end of the current season.
A trailblazer for women’s football, HQ caught up with her father, Alan, to find out where her love for the sport came from. Her former Scotland manager Anna Signeul lifted the lid on what she was like as a player, whilst Siobhan Hunter described the impact Joelle has had on her.
“I took so much from watching her play and from the tips she gave me on how to improve my game. She took an active interest in helping me develop,” said Siobhan.
“I look at the way she handles herself and how she applies herself – hopefully, some of it has rubbed off on me!"
