Rashid Khan, the Afghan cricket star, announced his donation of 1.5 million Afghanis to the victims of the recent floods in the country.
The Afghan cricket star wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday, May 12, that this aid will be distributed to those in need through the Rashid Khan Foundation.
Khan added, “For 15 days, we will provide food supplies to 1000 flood victims daily.”
Concurrently, this announcement by the Rashid Khan Foundation has called on people to assist the flood victims in Baghlan province.
This is because the process of aiding the flood victims in Baghlan province has begun recently.
Maiwand Azizi, the owner of Azizi Bank, announced on Saturday, May 11, that he will donate 50 million Afghanis to the flood victims in Afghanistan.
Azizi stated on his social media platform X that he had ordered a relief team to be dispatched immediately to Baghlan province. He added that he decided to provide assistance given the high casualty figures.
The recent floods in the country, especially in Baghlan province, have left significant financial and human losses.
