Hilarious moment half-naked suspect is seen hopping garden fences as he flees police seconds before his arrest
THIS is the hilarious moment a half-naked suspect was caught on camera scrambling over garden fences before being cuffed.
Cops joked they were “up at the crack of dawn” this morning and greeted by a “full moon” after making a break in huge undercover operation.
The half naked suspect flies out the backdoor to escape[/caption] He lands on his back after flipping over several fences[/caption] The fosbury flop style technique showed no grace as he crashed to the floor each time[/caption]Hysterical footage shows a suspect scramble out the back door in an open bright pink dressing gown flapping aimlessly in the wind.
In a comical display, the man attempts a Simon Pegg Hot Fuzz style fence hopping escape – but ends up looking more like clumsy sidekick Nick Frost.
After clearing the first wooden structure, he scarpers into next door’s garden, and clings onto the gown in a futile attempt at protecting his dignity.
He stumbles upon more difficulty going over the second fence, overshooting his launch and falling on his back.
Nevertheless, the suspect again tries to cover himself – despite his naked physique on show to the drone above – and most likely some traumatised neighbours.
The third fence hop shares a similar fate, with the fosbury flop style technique showing no grace as he crashes to the floor for a second time.
Flailing about, he flees to a grassy area away from the houses, before finally being apprehended by cops.
Two officers restrain the man by sitting on top of his back, while another approaches from the side.
He is eventually cuffed and led away by Greater Manchester Police.
It came as part of a huge undercover sting called Operation Vulcan, designed to tackle drugs in Piccadilly Gardens.
Greater Manchester police shared the hilarious clip on X/Twitter and wrote: “Watch our drone catch a half naked suspect fence hop his way to custody.
“Police were up at the crack of dawn today, greeted with a full moon.
“Huge undercover operation in Piccadilly Gardens sees 24 alleged drug dealers arrested today.”
OPERATION VULCAN
The force arrested 24 alleged drug dealers this morning after a six month operation.
Specialist officers from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) had also been assisting.
Around 300 officers gathered for a briefing at 4:45am before being deployed in teams to carry out search warrants.
By 5am, tactical aid unit vans arrived at properties across Greater Manchester, as cops raided homes.
Around £10,000 in cash, hundreds of snap bags filled with drugs, and multiple ‘crucial’ mobile phones and sim cards were all been seized.
Detective Sergeant Matt Donnelly from Operation Vulcan said: “This was a huge operation, using almost 300 officers from across the force, various covert tactics, and specialist resources from across the region.
“We know how deeply the drugs trade impacts our communities and the violence and depravity it brings with it, which is why we have launched such a major operation to tackle it.
“By arresting 24 people this morning, I can confidently say we have dismantled and disrupted several different county lines and local drug networks.
“But we won’t be complacent, and this should be a warning for anyone who thinks criminal activity is welcome in our city.
“We want to make sure criminals are living a life of high anxiety, and I hope that anyone who considers coming to Piccadilly Gardens to deal drugs is constantly looking over their shoulder.”
