Bridgerton season 3’s sexiest scenes ranked – from steamy threesomes to lesbian romps and heaps of nudity
BRIDGERTON fans have been waiting patiently for the third series of the Netflix hit to be released – and luckily, they’ve get plenty to sink their teeth into.
The new episodes don’t hold back when it comes to raunchiness – a relief to those who complained about season two’s more composed tone.
Series three of Bridgerton might just be the steamiest yet[/caption] The series focuses on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Caughlan)[/caption] There’s plenty of flesh shown on-screen throughout the new episodes[/caption]‘Kanthony’ in love
Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley get involved in an oral sex scene[/caption]The last series ended with the viscount Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) marrying the love of his life and Kate (Simone Ashley).
Series three kicks off as the pair are settling into married life and are enjoying their time together following the honeymoon.
The pair are seen lying naked in their bed together and it doesn’t take long for the chemistry to kick in.
From passionate kissing, Antony then descends down his wife’s body.
Just as he starts to kick things up a notch the pair are interrupted by the loud arrival of the rest of the Bridgerton clan as they barge into the London home.
Multiple lesbian romps
The mistresses put on quite the show for Colin[/caption]Elsewhere Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) arrives back in London from his travels and first strips off in the carriage on the way to the debutante presentation in front of Her Majesty, Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel).
Benedict asks how he got “so sturdy” on his travels, as like his brother before him, Colin is enjoying the attention of all the young ladies of the ton.
Refusing to settle down and sowing his wild oats, throughout the series he is seen naked with two mystery women as they kiss him.
Later when he is left thinking about a life with Penelope – or ‘Pen’ as he calls her – he visits the boudoir, but soon decides he isn’t in the mood.
But as he already paid, he watches on as the two ladies get it on in a lesbian sex show for his pleasure.
Featheringtons in action
The storyline involves Portia Featherington encouraging her daughters to make heirs for the estate[/caption]Up next, Penelope (Nicola Caughlan), decides she wants to take a husband this series to escape the wrath of her two irritable sisters.
Alas, they are both married and vying to be the first to produce an heir of the Featherington Estate, after their swindling wrong-un cousin sails back across the pond.
After their mother Portia (Polly Walker) receives a pronounced visit from The Crown’s lawyer – who vows to investigate the mysterious circumstances surrounding their newfound fortune – she urges her daughters to get pregnant and quick!
Their mother asks: “Must we tell a baker to bake?” as viewers are treated to a quick glimpse of their lives behind closed doors.
Bessie Carter – played by the daughter of Imelda Staunton and Jim Carter – plays the particularly competitive sister Prudence Featherington.
In episode two, she tries to sneak off with her husband at the public festival of the new hot air balloon for a bit of behind-the-tent action.
Unfortunately, it all goes wrong as they knock over one of the ropes stabilising the balloons which puts her sister in danger.
Fortunately Penelope is saved by the dashing new suitor Lord Debling (Sam Phillips).
Benedict’s new story
At the very same festival Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) encounters the seductive widow, Lady Tilley Arnold (Hannah New).
Although she expresses disdain at first, the second oldest of the siblings enjoys several flirtations at the balls of the Ton.
After dancing scenes filled with lingering sexual tension, he opts to pay a call to the Arnold residence in a sweet gesture.
Naively, she is not interested in chatter about physics or technological science but simply wants to get the hunk into her bedroom.
The pair are seen in several passionate embraces as they embark on a secret affair, despite an age gap.
Polin’s steamy scenes
Penelope asks Colin to kiss her after she feels rejected[/caption]But of course the series focuses on the love story between Nicola Coughlan‘s Penelope Featherington and a dashing Colin Bridgerton (Newton).
Colin promises to help Penelope in her quest to find a husband, but he is caught in an awkward situation.
Their lessons do not go quite as planned and the Ton finds out their misguided adventures, all thanks to a vengeful Eloise (Claudia Jessie) who couldn’t help but gossip to her new pal Cressida Cowper (Jessica Madsen).
In a moment that is recreated from Julia Quinn’s bestselling book, Romancing Mister Bridgerton, in the dead of night, Penelope asks Colin to kiss her.
The obliging smooch is quick but passionate, which soon leaves an unsuspecting Colin caught off-guard.
Later, he cannot help but see her in his dreams – up against the garden wall – as he imagines more steamy scenes with his friend.
After weeks of agony, he eventually declares his love for her in the carriage after she was left devastated by Lord Debling calling off their courtship.
They both give into their hidden passions as Colin lifts up her emerald green dress for a carriage ride like no other.
If the first four episodes are anything to go by, then the second half of series three will certainly be quite something!
Nude awakening
WHEN Bridgerton landed during lockdown, it swept us all into a world of bejewelled gowns, lavish balls and endless bonking – and the world went mad for it.
Even the sexless second series didn’t damp down TV viewers’ lust for the Regency romp and fans have eagerly anticipated the arrival of the third series.
Fortunately, they won’t be disappointed.
The opener finally gives us some action from gorgeous series two newlyweds Anthony and Kate in scenes that would make your granny blush.
There’s drama and intrigue as the hunt for Lady Whistledown hots us, and laugh out loud comedy from the chaotic Featherington family.
But ultimately the season belongs to new romantic leads Colin and Penelope, whose will-they-won’t-they love story is fun, flirty and utterly believable and its, ahem, climax at the end of episode four will take your breath away.
Is Bridgerton still must-watch telly? Corset is.
