I thrifted my dream necklace from a pricey brand – it sells for over 100x more, my mythical find left me speechless
A SAVVY shopper has scored a valuable find with a much lower price tag.
Her thrift store score typically sells for 100 times more.
Redditor Thequesadillaqueen posted the find on the social media platform.
“I’m speechless,” she said of the score.
She included several photos of the piece of jewelry, which appeared to be in excellent condition.
The thrifter admitted it’s something she’s always wanted, but was out of her price range.
WHAT DID SHE FIND?
“I found a Common Era Medusa necklace for $3 (75% off the ten dollars) at a second-hand store,” she said,
“I have always wanted one but they retail for $350. I don’t think I’ll ever beat this.”

She also detailed the make of the jewelry, down to the materials used.
“Is it the solid version or the vermeil?” another Redditor inquired.
“I ask because I like vermeil (gold over sterling) and I’m hoping it will regain the respect that it deserves.”
“I’m not entirely sure,” she replied.
“I would guess vermeil as the solid gold looks to be $2500 and it would be even weirder that something that much would end up at a second-hand place.
“I also love vermeil.”
Another Redditor inquired why the piece costs so much in the first place.
“Why is it worth $350?” one asked. “Just curious.”
“I think because it is 18-karat vermeil and has seven tiny emeralds,” she replied.
“It’s definitely not something I could justify at $350.”
