GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Glens Falls Common Council has designated one flagpole to fly certain commemorative flags. The pole is located near Ridge Street in City Park.
The council approved changes to the city's flag policy last week. It came after several weeks of discussions between the council and community members over whether the rainbow-colored Pride flag will be flown during Pride Month in June.
All other city-owned flagpoles will fly the American Flag and the National League of Families Flag, which honors military service members who are being held prisoner or are unaccounted for.
