Shoppers race to Sainsbury’s for broderie maxi skirt hailed a ‘versatile must-have for summer’ – and it’s in the sale
THEY always say white clothes make your tan pop.
So if you’re thinking holiday outfits or just looking to elevate your summer wardrobe on a budget, Sainsbury’s has got you covered.
The supermarket recently released its Tu Clothing ‘White Maxi Broderie Skirt’ in stores and online.
It is available in an inclusive size range going from 8-24 in short, regular and long.
And the best part? It’s currently in the sale for just £21, down from £28.
Shop bosses say: “A super pretty addition to your summer wardrobe, our gorgeous white broderie skirt comes in a maxi length, in a full design for a retro vibe.
“Complete the look by pairing it with a plain tee and sandals.”
Tu Clothing’s creative stylist Katrina even gave shoppers some expert tips on dressing the “gorgeous” skirt up and down this summer.
She hailed the £21 buy as a “versatile must-have for the season”
She added: “For a dressed up, more romantic look I’ve paired the broderie skirt with a white linen blend waistcoat, a mono stripe bag and some gold strappy sandals.
“It’s elevated yet stylishly simple, making it perfect for those evenings out on holiday.”
“For more of a casual daytime look I’ve styled it back with a classic blue bikini top, a denim sleeveless shirt which I’ve tied at the front and a navy slogan bag”, she continued.
“I’ve completed the look with our silver metallic sandals.
“This outfit’s giving beach day and I’m so here for it.”
And fashion fans are loving the pretty summer skirt, as one gushed: “Absolutely love this.”

How to look chic on a budget
Fashion stylist Gemma Rose Breger, and beauty journalist Samantha Silver revealed how you can make your outfits elevated without spending hundreds of pounds.
- Don’t ever spend on designer denim: River Island ”always has such a great selection with fashion- forward jeans that follow the current trends”. The high street retailer offers a great range of sizes to fit UK 6 – UK 18, and three leg lengths – and prices start from an affordable £25.
- There are no rules for jewels: ”Pick up something at a car boot sale, or charity shop, scroll on Vinted & eBay, snap up something from the clothing section in your local supermarket when doing the food shop or check out high street clothing stores.”
- Don’t forget the pre-loved sites: With a rising number of second-hand sites, such as Vinted and Depop, there really is no excuse of not buying – or selling – pre-loved garments. Gemma, for instance, has managed to get her hands on chic Chanel sunnies for a mere £17.
A third added: “Love love love.”
