My boyfriend’s dad insulted my chest size & made me feel terrible – people say my partner’s reaction is a huge red flag
AN angry woman has opened up about the uncomfortable comment her boyfriend’s dad made about her chest.
Though her boyfriend shrugged it off as a joke, she wasn’t amused in the slightest.
Redditor Butterflyfairyremedy shared her relationship drama in a viral post.
While first impressions can be difficult to nail, she explained that her boyfriend’s dad didn’t even try.
“Last weekend, I met my boyfriend’s dad for the first time. His parents are divorced, and he does not speak to his mother,” she said.
“He arrived at our apartment about 45 minutes late, no big deal. As I extended my hand to greet him, the first thing he said was, ‘Wow, your chest is so flat!'”
To make matters worse, he doubled down on the sentiment.
“I thought my son liked big-breasted women!” he added.
Shocked by the comment, she turned to her boyfriend to gauge his reaction but was only further disappointed.
“I am very flat-chested, but so what? I immediately looked at my boyfriend as he just stood there with a stupid grin on his face,” she said.
“I was so taken aback, to say the least. I mean, what kind of person insults someone’s physical appearance, let alone their son’s girlfriend?” she asked.
“I tried to brush it off, thinking maybe he was just anxious or socially awkward. So I just smiled sweetly and told him I was going to go grab us all some drinks from the kitchen.”
The bad behavior didn’t end there, however.
“As I was walking away, I could feel his eyes on me, probably sizing me up and down, looking for more things to criticize,” she said.
“I felt so self-conscious like I was some kind of specimen under a microscope. I couldn’t believe my boyfriend was okay with his dad’s behavior.
“When I got back to the living room, my boyfriend was chatting with his dad like nothing was wrong.
I immediately looked at my boyfriend as he just stood there with a stupid grin on his face.

“I gave him a look, trying to convey my annoyance and disappointment. But he just shrugged it off, saying his dad was ‘just joking around.’
She, however, thought the comment was no laughing matter.
“Joking around? Are you kidding me? That was no joke. That was a straight-up insult, and I still feel terrible. I feel incredibly disrespected, and I don’t know how to move on from this,” she said.
People were equally as shocked and put-off by the dad’s rude comment.
“That is the most insane initial comment to someone I have ever heard,” said one commenter.
“I’m a male; I have a son. I would lose my sh*t if my son were to ever act like that or say anything even remotely close to that towards a woman or anyone for that matter,” they added.
“The fact that the FATHER acted that way and said that is an absolutely gigantic red flag that he has taught his son that Women are objects. That guy is an absolute moron with a complex.
