KFC Launches Unrecognizable New Restaurant Concept
KFC has become synonymous with its signature red and white aesthetic at restaurants across the country. But a new restaurant concept from the iconic fried chicken chain looks to deviate from that well-known look and feel.
On Dec. 18, KFC announced the launch of Saucy, a new restaurant concept with a focus on tenders and a lineup of 11 delicious new sauces to dip them in. There will also be 11 different beverage options to choose from to help wash down your meal, including an array of teas, lemonades, and refreshers. The specific number is a nod to the 11 herbs and spices in KFC's Original Recipe.
"Everyone is obsessed with sauce—more is more," KFC chief new concept officer Christophe Poirier said in a statement. "With Saucy, we’ve taken KFC’s famous Original Recipe and amplified it with a brand-new concept that lets consumers play with flavor. You can pick a combo, choose a flight of sauces or, my personal favorite, mix sauces and sides to create your perfect meal."

Saucy swaps out KFC's classic red and white color scheme for a futuristic pink look, indicating the company's forward-looking vision.
You'll have a wide range of flavors to choose from when it comes to dipping sauces: Saucy's Sauce, Saucy Ranch, Chimichurri Ranch, Peri Peri Ranch, Jalapeño Pesto Ranch, Smokey Bacon Ranch, Thai Sweet 'n Spicy, Sweet 'n Saucy BBQ, Spicy Mango Chutney, Creole Honey Mustard, and Sweet Teriyaki.
"Saucy is unlike anything else in the market, and the experience it provides is in a class of its own," Poirier said. “Being sauce-focused allows us to be as creative as we want. Saucy is debuting with these 11 sauces, but we envision limited-edition sauces, trend-inspired sauces and sauces created in response to changing taste buds."
It all starts Dec. 23 in Orlando, Florida.
