Confirmed Man United XI vs Brentford: Carrick makes two changes, Dorgu returns but injured Cunha out
Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick has unveiled his starting XI for today’s Premier League clash against Brentford at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils bounced back to winning ways last time out with an impressive victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and will now look to build on that momentum.
Carrick has opted to make two changes to his starting line-up for the clash.
Senne Lammens starts between the sticks after another composed display last week.
There is one change in defence with Noussair Mazraoui making way for Harry Maguire.
The 33-year-old is available for selection after serving his two-game ban. He will partner Ayden Heaven, who has stepped up during crisis this season.
Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw continue in the full-back roles.
Kobbie Mainoo produced a sensational display against the Blues and deservedly walked away with the Man of the Match award.
He will once again partner Casemiro in midfield, while Bruno Fernandes operates in the number 10 role.
Fernandes is now just three assists away from becoming the player with the most assists in a single Premier League season.
There is one forced change in the attack. Amad Diallo comes in for Matheus Cunha who suffered a groin injury against Chelsea.
Bryan Mbeumo could be shifted to left wing, with Benjamin Sesko spearheading the attack.
There are also multiple changes on the bench, with Patrick Dorgu and Leny Yoro returning to the matchday squad.
For Dorgu, it marks his first involvement in over three months.
Shea Lacey scored a crucial goal against Sunderland U21 yesterday and is also part of the squad.
