Widower of paramedic Uldana Myrzuan broke silence after wave of criticism over new marriage
During the conversation, Zeinel discussed his new relationship, explained his stance on the criminal case surrounding Uldana's death, and addressed rumors regarding funds collected after the tragedy, as well as matters involving a vehicle, inheritance, and accusations from social media users.
On his new marriage and meeting his spouse
One of the central topics of the interview was Adilet's new relationship. According to him, he only met his current wife this spring.
"We started talking at the end of April, or rather in May. She also worked in the ambulance service, but she was not Uldana's friend, as many are claiming. In two years, they only worked a single shift together. They were nothing more than colleagues," he stated.
Adilet shared that it was this new relationship that helped him gradually return to a normal life after the tragedy.
"The fact that I am smiling and happy now is thanks to my mother, the Almighty, and her. She gave me a new life. I want to achieve new successes," he noted.
He also addressed rumors circulating on social media regarding his wife's pregnancy, though he stopped short of a direct confirmation or denial.
"Let it be. We don't know. It's a personal matter. But if she is pregnant, I will be very happy. For me, it would be a new chapter in life," the widower said.
Why the wedding photos sparked a scandal
According to Adilet, they anticipated that posting photos from a family event might spark some discussion, but they did not expect such a massive backlash.
He maintains that he had no intention of making the relationship public, and that the images appeared online without their consent.
"We only found out about these photos on our way home. The restaurant owners and mobile photographers posted them to advertise their venue. We never gave them permission," he noted.
Adilet's mother added that the family had no intention of hurting anyone and had planned to keep the event private.
Why the family did not approach Uldana's mother
Adilet's mother explained that the family did not seek a blessing from Uldana's mother before the new marriage because they felt such news would be an additional trauma for a woman who had lost her daughter.
She stated that relatives on Uldana's grandmother's side had previously indicated they would not oppose Adilet remarrying.
"I didn't want to traumatize her further. We decided to do everything quietly," she noted.
However, once the photos surfaced, the information spread rapidly across social media.
On his status as an injured party
During the interview, Adilet confirmed that he has no intention of relinquishing his status as an injured party in the criminal case.
"I started this case and I want to see it through to the end. I want justice. If I quit now, people will say I started a new family and forgot everything. But that's not it. I have a duty to Uldana," the widower stated.
He also revealed that he has virtually no contact with his late wife's relatives.
"To be honest, we haven't spoken since February. I don't want to argue with them. We used to have a respectful relationship," Adilet noted.
On the funds collected after the tragedy
A separate part of the interview was dedicated to the 20 million tenge discussed on social media, which was raised following Uldana's death.
Adilet's mother stated that this money was not compensation, but funds donated by people for funeral expenses.
According to her, about 10 million tenge was used to pay off the loan for Uldana's car, which was held as collateral. Another portion of the funds was transferred to the mother and sister of the deceased, and the rest covered costs related to the funeral and memorial services.
"Not a single penny was spent on our family's personal needs. I have all the checks and receipts with me," she added.
Adilet himself also refuted claims that the family received any government compensation or that they had demanded an apartment.
"We neither received nor requested any compensation. I have my own apartment. We haven't asked anyone for anything," he noted.
On the conflict with Uldana's relatives
According to Adilet and his mother, relations between the two families began to deteriorate a few months after the tragedy.
They attribute this to reports surfacing about Adilet’s new personal life.
The man’s mother believes that Uldana’s relatives found it difficult to accept the situation.
"I think they saw it as a betrayal. But a person has to move on," she stated.
Adilet himself emphasized that he does not consider starting a new family to be an act of betrayal.
"I don't consider myself a traitor. If building a new life is betrayal, let them think so. But for me, it is a normal desire for a healthy person," he added.
At the same time, he noted that he harbors no ill will toward Uldana’s relatives.
"I don't want to speak ill of them. I wish everyone well," the widower emphasized.
On online criticism
Adilet said he deleted his previous Instagram account back in February due to a high volume of negative messages.
According to him, both he and his current wife continue to receive threats and insults. He noted that his bride is finding the situation particularly difficult and "cries every day."
Adilet’s mother reported that the family intends to go to court over posts and comments that she believes infringe upon the honor and dignity of her children.
"We have already initiated this process. No one has the right to cross the line," she noted.
Memory of Uldana
Despite his new marriage, Adilet stated that the memory of his late wife remains an important part of his life.
"I loved her and I love her. We honor her memory; it remains. It doesn't mean I've forgotten her. I'm simply trying to move on," he shared.
He mentioned that on the anniversary of Uldana’s death, the family plans to hold a memorial service and offer prayers in a private family circle.
Currently, Zeynel says he works as an assistant to an anesthesiologist-resuscitator and consults with patients.

As a reminder, a statement from the mother of the deceased paramedic Uldana Myrzuan, Salima Yeshankulkyzy, previously circulated online. She commented on reports spreading on social media alleging that her daughter's former husband, Adilet Zeynel, had remarried just eight months after the tragedy.
According to Salima Yeshankulkyzy, the family was not notified in advance of the upcoming wedding, and the former son-in-law and his relatives had not maintained contact with Uldana’s family after the tragedy.
The message published alongside the video also noted that the criminal case regarding the paramedic's death is in its final stages, and family representatives are currently reviewing the investigation materials.
Salima Yeshankulkyzy separately spoke about the distribution of Uldana’s property after her death. According to her, the daughter's pension savings, which she began accumulating at age 17, were transferred to her husband in accordance with current legislation. The car, however, was supposed to go to the deceased's parents.
The woman claims that, in fact, the car remained with Adilet Zeynel for more than eight months after Uldana’s death and was only re-registered to the parents on July 22, 2026.
According to the woman, the family intends to seek protection of the deceased's property rights and appeal to the authorized bodies to review several legal issues related to the investigation. She also stated that Adilet Zeynel is designated as a victim in the criminal case, but the family intends to seek a review of this decision.

The tragedy that claimed the life of the young paramedic
To recap, on November 8, 2025, on Tauelsizdik Avenue in Astana, brick cladding and an air conditioner mount collapsed from the facade of a nine-story residential building. Five people were injured in the incident.
A 23-year-old ambulance paramedic, Uldana Myrzuan, arrived at the scene as part of a crew. According to her relatives, she was one of the first to rush to help the victims, who included a child, the child's mother, and a relative. At that moment, the brick cladding and air conditioner mount collapsed onto her.
Uldana was hospitalized with severe injuries. She spent ten days in intensive care in extremely critical condition, but passed away on November 18, 2025.
Following the incident, police opened a criminal case under Article 278 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan ("Substandard Construction"). Later, the investigation was also expanded to include Article 306 of the Criminal Code ("Release or sale of goods, performance of work, or provision of services that do not meet safety requirements").
Family history and public resonance
Uldana Myrzuan and rehabilitation physician Adilet Zeynel were married on September 30, 2025—less than a month and a half before the tragedy.
Following his wife's passing, Adilet Zeynel posted a farewell letter on social media, describing their relationship and calling Uldana his one true love.
