Ministry of Defense warns Kazakhstanis about movement of military equipment

Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Defense has issued an official statement about upcoming CSTO drills, during which military equipment and personnel will move across the country.

From September 21 to October 5, military equipment and personnel are scheduled to move through Kazakhstan by rail. The servicemen and equipment will travel to Misyash station in Russia’s Chelyabinsk Region and back.
The movement is connected with the CSTO drills “Interaction 2026,” “Search 2026” and “Echelon 2026,” which are scheduled to take place in Russia from September 24 to October 3.
During the drills, servicemen will conduct field exercises, practicing troop regrouping, unit command and control, and the execution of assigned tasks.
Defense Ministry urges public not to spread rumors

“We ask citizens, media representatives and social media users not to spread unverified information and to rely on information published by official sources,” the statement said.

The ministry reminded that spreading knowingly false information and publishing inaccurate reports may entail liability under Kazakhstan’s legislation.
