Two famous bloggers arrested in Almaty

Tengrinews.kz — Two well-known Kazakhstani bloggers have been arrested in Almaty. The arrests followed a TikTok video featuring profanity, which the creators presented as humorous content, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Profanity-laden video results in arrest
During a monitoring of TikTok, officers from the Nauryzbai District Police Department identified a video recording in which two young men used crude profanity and offensive language.
The creators presented the events as humorous content.

"The individuals in the video were identified as 25-year-old Ibraim Stambekov and 21-year-old Abai Abdykhanov. Both offenders have been held accountable for the incident. By court order, they were found guilty and sentenced to five days of administrative arrest each," the statement said.


Bloggers boast hundreds of thousands of followers
Notably, Ibraim Stambekov's Instagram page has more than 400,000 followers.
Abai Abdykhanov's Instagram account is followed by more than 110,000 people.
"Humor" does not exempt from responsibility
Police reminded the public that the use of profanity and offensive language in the public information space entails legal liability.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that the humorous nature of the content does not exempt creators from responsibility for the material published.
