Tokayev invited Trump to visit Kazakhstan
Tengrinews.kz — Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation with United States President Donald Trump.
The President of Kazakhstan congratulated the American leader on the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, emphasizing that within a relatively short historical period—the span of three generations—the country has managed to become a powerful global power.
"The President of Kazakhstan noted that the policy of common sense underlying the U.S. Administration's domestic agenda is inherently aligned with our country's strategy of building a 'Just Kazakhstan' based on the principle of 'Law and Order.' Therefore, he supports this policy of Donald Trump," the Akorda press service noted.
During the conversation, the leaders exchanged views on issues of bilateral economic cooperation and political engagement.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the high momentum in implementing key agreements reached during his visit to Washington last November.
"The Head of State reaffirmed Kazakhstan's unwavering position on the impermissibility of the proliferation of nuclear weapons and enriched uranium, and the importance of cooperation with the IAEA to strengthen the international control regime. Furthermore, a positive assessment was given to recent meetings and negotiations at Akorda with Senator Steve Daines, U.S. Presidential Special Envoy Sergio Gor, and other high-ranking representatives of the White House and American business circles," the Akorda statement said.
