Those consigning Armenian Genocide to oblivion will not digest it - Robert Kocharyan
ArmInfo. Those who consign the Armenian Genocide to oblivion will not digest this, Armenia's
ex-president Robert Kocharyan told journalists at the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex.
When asked to comment on the attempts of the current authorities of
Armenia to abandon their own history, including the fact of genocide
by the Young Turks, the second President of Armenia noted that it is
difficult to say better than what Archbishop Arshak said yesterday
during the liturgy after the torchlight procession to the Armenian
Genocide Memorial.
"In my opinion, you can turn on this speech and repeat it a thousand
times. I will add that those who consign the Genocide to oblivion
will not digest this," Kocharyan concluded.
On April 23, at the end of the torchlight procession, Archbishop
Arshak Khachatryan gave a speech in Tsitsernakaberd, calling the one
who surrendered Armenian territories to the enemy a traitor.
"Whoever tries to erase or question the authenticity of the Armenian
Genocide must be cursed from generation to generation. The name and
memory of the one who tries to erase our historical memory, as well
as his family, must be cursed forever. He who fights against the
church, will remain in history with the stigma of eternal
condemnation and shame. Anyone who undermines the foundations of the
Armenian family should be deprived of family comfort and family
warmth Amen!!!", Khachatryan said.
