"Against All" party starts its election campaign with mud protest
ArmInfo. The "Against All" party has started its election campaign with a mud protest.
Specifically, they placed a poster in central Yerevan featuring the logos of the Armenian parties participating in the June 7, 2026, parliamentary elections, and started throwing mud at the poster, while urging passersby to join them.
As Nina Karapetyants, the party's prime ministerial candidate, clarified in an interview with journalists, they wanted to show voters what these political forces were truly offering them. "They'll come to the people looking polished and discuss grand plans, but we won't see any substantive discussions about the problems. After the elections, they'll apologize with serious expressions for not keeping their promise," Karapetyants is confident. She noted that she doesn't view their action as frivolous.
According to the party member, they merely demonstrated the current picture political landscape in Armenia. Karapetyants believes that the biggest problem in Armenia today is the polarization of society. "Some citizens know exactly who they'll vote for, but others simply won't go to the polls. This has been confirmed by opinion polls. Through our protests, we want to showcase the alternative choices available to our citizens. It mat seem frivolous, but we also have no other means of attracting attention: we don't have billions, we don't have administrative resources, and constant coverage on Public Television. So, we're creating hype. Unlike others who promise something to voters with serious faces, yes, we're using hype. However, we don't say, 'Artsakh is Armenia, that's it,' and then apologize for the failure," the party's prime ministerial candidate said.
According to Karapetyants, their party is the only one with a concrete political proposal. "We have a very serious proposal that could lead to fundamental changes. We believe that small parties should have the opportunity to enter parliament, and in this sense, the 4% threshold set for them is simply insurmountable," Karapetyants lamented. According to her, their party intends to secure as many votes as possible and represent in parliament the positions of all those who oppose "all" political forces in Armenia.
