Before applying for a non-immigrant visa, applicants both adults and children are required to pay a non-refundable, non-transferable visa application fee which is sometimes referred to as the MRV fee.
The visa application fee must be paid whether a visa is issued or not. The type of visa for which you apply determines the amount of the fee. In Nigeria, the most frequent visa rate is $140 or $150 depending on your visa class. The Visa fee is paid at GTBank. However, applicants for K visas, will proceed to pay $350 to the consular cashier at the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos at the time of interview.
