Nikol Pashinyan reminded Serzh Sargsyan about Ceausescu`s fate
ArmInfo. The head of the faction of the opposition bloc Nikol Pashinyan reminded the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan about a number of high-profile political murders in the republic (Deputy Defense Minister Vahram Horhoruni and Deputy Chief of Police Gevorg Mheryan) and about the fate of Romanian leader Nicolae Ceausescu.
He sharply criticized the activities of the Armenian authorities in all spheres, focusing on the issues of defense. Pashinyan, in particular, recalled the fact that during the April war, the "security" of the contact line of the Artsakh-Azerbaijani troops "was provided" with tin cans. "And it was only after the lessons of the April war that the front line was equipped with the latest technologies, and that not at the expense of state funds, but at the expense of donations from citizens of the country. And this time the Diaspora practically did not extend a helping hand, the lion's share of donations came from the citizens of Armenia. And this means that the current authorities have exhausted the vote of confidence in the Diaspora as well," Pashinyan said.
At the same time, he stressed that the only responsible for the crisis situation is not the government led by Karen Karapetyan, whom he called the scapegoat, and not his predecessors as prime minister, but President Serzh Sargsyan. "But the ball is in the field of the country's public, we must understand that if you do not go out, it will not be possible to get rid of these authorities," the deputy said.
He also said that the bloc faction will vote against the submitted program, as it is the program of Serzh Sargsyan.
The representatives of the "Yelk" bloc also promised to give the premier a document with evidence of mass bribery of citizens by the Republican Party during the last elections. "These documents already have criminal proceedings, and if it is carried out objectively, many of the Republicans sitting in this room will be behind bars," Pashinyan said.
