The Speaker of the Armenian Parliament and representatives of the State Duma delegation discussed Armenian-Russian cooperation

Speaker Ara Babloyan received a delegation headed by Nikolai Ryzhkov,
co-chairman of the Interparliamentary Commission on Cooperation
between the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and the
Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. Welcoming the
participants of the 30th IPC meeting, Baloyan noted that thanks to
this event the Armenian-Russian allied relations entered a new phase.
The head of the parliament stated that a live dialogue at all levels
is the guarantee of the consistent development of bilateral
relations. According to A.Babloyan, Armenia and Russia, being
members of the EAEU, have entered a qualitatively new stage of trade
and economic cooperation. The NA Speaker addressed to the
Armenian-Russian parliamentary cooperation, considering it as an
important element of cooperation. In this context, the head of
parliament stressed the importance of the IPC, which is a demanded
platform for an open and constructive dialogue for the legislative
and executive authorities, as well as business circles of the two
countries. The NA Speaker also highlighted cooperation and mutual
assistance at international venues. N. Ryzhkov, thanking for the
reception, appreciated almost twenty-year activity of the IPC.
Stressing the importance of meetings held twice a year in Armenia and
Russia, he highly appreciated the constructive reports of Armenian
and Russian colleagues voiced at the 30th meeting. At the end of the
meeting, the interlocutors appealed to the progress noted in the
framework of the EAEU and the opportunities for expanding
cooperation
