Hearing on Robert Kocharyan`s Case continues behind closed doors
ArmInfo.The meeting on the case of the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan resumed on September 15. It is being held behind closed doors, as the court is considering the petition of Kocharyan's lawyers to cancel the arrest
of the latter's property.
During the session on September 8, Judge Anna Danibekyan granted the
motion of the lawyer of the second President of Armenia Aram
Vardevanyan to continue the session behind closed doors.
In an interview with reporters, Vardevanyan emphasized that the
closed mode of the meeting is due to the information disclosed there,
which may contain bank secrets or privacy of personal data.
It should be noted that Robert Kocharyan was charged with
overthrowing the constitutional order in the framework of the events
of March 1, 2008, as well as charges of illegal enrichment.
