Nikol Pashinyan: "Yelk" intends to return the dream stolen from citizens of Armenia
ArmInfo."Yelk" electoral alliance intends to return the dream stolen from the citizens of Armenia, Leader of Civil Contract Party Nikol Pashinyan stated at the congress of the bloc on January 21.
"The ruling regime has stolen the dream and hope for better future
from the Armenian people and we intend to return them", Pashinyan
emphasized. The politician also noted that the priority of the bloc
is participation in the upcoming parliamentary elections and in his
opinion they have big chances to win. "We have supporters in all the
communities of Armenia, Armenians of Diaspora support us and we
should meet their expectations", he noted. At the same time the MP
stated that the bloc intends to create a country, to which people
will return instead of emigrating.
Pashinyan noted that he has realized why the Prime Minister and his
government cannot eradicate monopoly in imports of bananas for 6
months already. "This is because not Mihran Petrosyan owns the
monopoly of bananas import and not Samvel Alexanyan owns sugar
monopoly Serzh Sargsyan personally owns them and he organized the
elections to keep these monopolies", the politician stated
ironically. He also added that in case of victory the bloc will solve
this issue in 47 minutes.
The politician also stated that he does not believe in the statements
of the Republican Party about the intention to settle Karabakh
conflict in the way beneficial for the Armenian sides. "How can one
believe in good intentions of a regime that has depopulated the
country? How can one talk about mutual compromises if Azerbaijan has
purchased weaponry amounting to $7 bln?", he summarized.
It was previously reported that the Yelk bloc comprises Civil
Contract Party, Bright Armenia Party, and Republic Party. The bloc's
negotiations with Gyumri-based Gala Party and some members of
Heritage Party are not over yet.
