Iran reduces entry fees for drivers from Armenia
ArmInfo.The Armenian Embassy in Iran reported that Iran has reduced entry fees for drivers from Armenia.
According to Iranian mass media, the vehicles with the Armenian state
numbers will pay $90 fee instead of previous $500 while entering the
Iranian territory. The vehicles will be able to remain in Iran for up
to 3 months. Upon returning to Armenia the guarantee amount, together
with the Armenian state numbers will be returned to the driver,
according to the Armenian Embassy.
According to the Armenian National Statistical Service, in
January-November 2016 the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and
Iran was $219.3mln (down 13.4% versus Jan-Nov 2015). In particular,
exports fell by 6.1% to $ 70.2 mln, with a slump in imports by 16.5%
to $ 149.1 mln.
