Ex Minister of Defense of Armenia and Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanyan bloc member said during his conversation with journalists on February 13.
Regarding the question addressed if the bloc will go for the shift of authorities, Ohanyan said that all the members of this political union will participate to elections within the intention to form new power. "The fact that country needs system changes is understood not only by us but by 99% of our country's citizens," the Ex-Minister stated. At that, he called not to be hurry with the slogans claiming street struggle. "I suggest to implement our activities in a civilized manner and in peaceful conditions," he mentioned. But
Ohanyan mentioned also that if the bloc arranges meetings at the Freedom Square, he will attend anyway. Answering the question regarding will Agenda comprise the investigation on March 1 2008 events, the Former Minister stated that their political entity will act in a strict conformance to the law. Ohanyan stated also that there are political prisoners in Armenia.
Seyran Ohanyan, the Ex Minister of Defense, Vardan Oskanyan and Raffi Hovannisian, former Ministers of Foreign Affairs, leading the factions of Solidarity and Heritage factions respectively, signed an Agreement on participating to elections as a single bloc. The bloc was joined also by the Justice Party and People Party, as well as Unified Armenians and Independent Judge NGOs. The faction of Third Republic refused to cooperate with the bloc.
