Armenian Prosecutor General`s Office checked compliance of electoral legislation
ArmInfo.By March 4, 2017 the
working group of the Prosecutor General of Armenia studied the media
publications about the 80 alleged election violations and one
received by the Armenian Police anonymous call regarding the
parliamentary elections on 2 April.
As the Prosecutor General's Office press service told ArmInfo, Only
19 out of the 80 studied messages contained clear signs of electoral
offenses. In order of further validation, the 19 marked messages were
sent to the relevant department of the Armenian Police - 10 material
facts or have not been confirmed or have been falsified in relation
to the rest of continuing verification activities. 14 of the 19 posts
of the electoral bribes, 5 of them - cases of obstruction of the free
implementation of the citizen of his electoral rights. "To improve
the efficiency of the fight against election violations and to obtain
reliable information on this subject, since March 5, from 09:00 to
18:00, and on the voting day, 24 hours, in the prosecutor's office
will operate telephone of "hot line"(010). 511-603 Armenian
