Le Pen: France will continue struggle to recognize Armenian Genocide
ArmInfo. France will continue struggle to recognize Armenian Genocide, as Paris is the motherland of human rights, Marine Le Pen, a candidate for the presidency in
France the leader of the National Front far-right party stated during
her interview to <<Nouvelles d'Armenie>.
"I will continue paying tribute to Genocide victims, because the
matter concerns the first and the biggest humanity crime of 20th
century. Anyway, Armenians relocated to France, paid a big deal in
the history of our Power. They gave many things to our country during
World War II, and together with us have recovered the country", Le
Pen stated.
Answering the question if April 24 will be officially recognized as
Genocide victims' commemoration day and included in the official
calendar of the country, she mentioned that official calendar should
have appropriate limits for events important for all the Frenchmen.
"It is important to keep the memory of Armenian tragedy, but it is
not related to the official calendar", she summarized.
