View from Baku: Whispers about Armenian spies and overthrows are the part of the struggle for power inside Azerbaijani authorities.
ArmInfo. Whispers about Armenian spies and the expected overturn in Baku are the part of the struggle for power inside Azerbaijani authorities. To regret, this is not even a part of struggle between the power and opposition, Azerbaijani economist Natig Djafarli thinks.
"There is an impression that it is exactly inside the power that certain groups drive an information against each other. There is no official approval or any exact information in respect to what is going on yet. But, in my opinion, this is a result of compromising materials war inside the power," the economist states.
Closing of Azadlyg, Turan TV and Mejdan TV in the 21st century is disgraceful for the country, this a typical soviet approach. The economist thinks that such steps are the consequences of economic situation worsening in Azerbaijan. Meanwhile, according to him, the situation should lead to bonuses in all the aspects : essential structural, economic and political reforms, and not to tightening the bolts.
In his interview to the Caucasus Echo the economist stated that in this situation everything could happen: new waves of arrests, tension of situation at the conflict zone. The authorities do their best to keep silence in respect to the problems, thinking that if nobody will speak and write about those, they will disappear.
